MCLACHLAN PARK

Public BBQ

Perched along the riverbank in the charming township of Maclean, McLachlan Park offers one of those delightfully unexpected discoveries that make regional NSW so rewarding. The park's astonishing river views provide a magnificent backdrop for a proper barbecue, with well-maintained grills positioned to take full advantage of the scenery. What sets this spot apart is its setting within Maclean itself - a town that takes evident pride in its Scottish heritage, evident in the distinctive tartan displays adorning the light poles throughout the township. The riverside location proves ideal for leisurely picnics, where visitors can settle in for the afternoon watching fishermen work the riverbanks with practiced patience. The facilities hit that sweet spot of being complete without being overcomplicated - clean toilets complement the barbecue areas, creating everything needed for a relaxed family outing.
